ABOUT
Our popular Mini! group is accepting applications for the waiting list for next term. Performers aged 6 to 8 (grades 1-3 in Fall 2024) are welcome to take part in this group. Click here to join the wait list.
AUDITIONS
No auditions are required for this young age bracket. We are offering a spot to our current Minis in the next term. If spots become available, we will work our way down the waiting list.
COMMITMENT
Make sure you have read the full term schedule and commitment below before submitting an audition. Participants are permitted to miss up to three rehearsals only.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Term Rehearsal Dates: Saturday, February 1 to Sunday, May 18 (12 weeks)
Rehearsal Location: Emmanuel United Church, 22 Bridgeport Rd W, Waterloo, ON N2L 2Y3
REHEARSAL TIMES
There are four Mini groups:
9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (Red Group)
10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Orange Group)
11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Yellow Group)
12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Green Group)
Rehearsals will take place on Saturdays on the following dates:
February 2025
Saturdays: 1, 8, (off for Family Day Feb. 15), 22
March 2025
Saturdays: 1, (off for March Break Mar. 8), 15, 22, 29
April 2025
Saturdays: 5, 12, (off for Easter Apr. 19), 26
May 2025
Saturdays: 3, 10, 17 (This is not a rehearsal day. It’s the run-through at the church and part of the show week schedule.)

Extended rehearsal time
To prepare for our recitals, we do a combined rehearsal with Minis and Classes to run the songs in order.
- Classes (Teen, Intermediate, Youth) are called from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Minis are called from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Our final concerts will be on Sunday, May 18 at the Humanities Theatre in Waterloo. These concerts are shared between the recreational classes and our Mini groups.

- 10:00 a.m. Arrival at the Humanities Theatre
- 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Dress Rehearsal on stage
- 12:00 p.m. First audience arrives while performers eat lunch
- 12:30 p.m. Class Recital #1
- 1:30 p.m. First audience clears and the stage is reset.
- 2:30 p.m. Second audience arrives while performers have a break.
- 3:00 p.m. Class Recital #2
- 4:00 p.m. Done
