ABOUT
Songwriting classes are coming to Pop Nation! These classes explore the craft of songwriting from structure, melody and lyrics to storytelling, hooks, emotional connection, and more. Whether you’re a total beginner or already writing your own material, this is going to be an inspiring, creative, and collaborative space to grow your original music muscle.
Our songwriting classes are taught by Jessie T, a singer, songwriter, and recording artist who has tons of experience writing at all stages. A four-time CMAOntario nominee, Jessie has brought her high-energy live show to major stages including Boots and Hearts, Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Main Stage, Meadows Music Fest, and the JUNO Host City Music Exchange. Her single Almost Beautiful landed on two Billboard charts in its first week of release, and her newest single I’m Fine charted on Yangaroo’s Top CANCON Downloads, earned steady rotation on SiriusXM’s Top of the Country, and was featured on Spotify’s North Country editorial playlist. Beyond the stage, Jessie also does incredible work with The Lullaby Project, where she collaborates with incarcerated women to help them tell their stories through songwriting.

Junior Songwriting Ages 10 to 13 – 4:00 p.m. to 5:20 p.m
Senior Songwriting Ages 14 to 18 – 5:30 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.
Adult Songwriting Ages 19+ – 7:00 p.m. to 8:20 p.m.
