Dance Captains
The Dance Captain is a leadership position within the Pop Nation ensemble, responsible for helping the group maintain consistency and accuracy in choreography. For the numbers they are assigned, the Dance Captain will learn the choreography thoroughly and assist other ensemble members in refining their movements to match the choreographer’s vision. They will ensure that all formation maps and rehearsal videos are uploaded to ChoirGenius in a timely manner to support independent practice. During rehearsals, the Dance Captain may be called upon to run or “clean” choreography sections to help solidify formations and synchronization. This role requires strong dance ability, reliability, patience, and a positive, team-focused attitude. As recognition for their contributions, the Dance Captain will receive a 50% reduction on tuition.

Vocal Captains
The Vocal Captain is a leadership position within the Pop Nation ensemble designed to support vocal accuracy and peer learning. The Vocal Captain will be responsible for recording their assigned vocal parts for the songs they are in and sharing those recordings with the group by uploading them to ChoirGenius, to assist with home practice and part learning. They will also serve as a point of support for other singers in their section, helping to clarify notes, rhythms, style elements, and harmonies as needed. You must be able to play basic piano and read music for this role. The Vocal Captain may assist other ensemble members and offer support to the primary vocal instructors to help ensure the group is progressing confidently and cohesively. This role requires strong musicianship, reliability, patience, and a positive, team-focused attitude. As recognition for their contributions, the Vocal Captain will receive a 50% reduction on tuition.
