ABOUT
We offer a comprehensive vocal performance training program for students ages 9 to 13 (Junior) and 14 to 20 (Senior) culminating in a combined high-quality concert series with microphones, audio, lighting, choreography, harmony, and a professional live band. Students audition to participate in these groups. Students who may not be quite ready to participate in the Junior and Senior groups or prefer a less intensive rehearsal environment are placed in the recreational classes to hone their skills for future.
COMMITMENT
Make sure you have read the full term schedule and commitment below before submitting an audition. Participants are permitted to miss up to three rehearsals only.
SCHEDULE
Term Rehearsal Dates: Saturday, January 18 to Sunday, May 4 (12 weeks)
Rehearsal times: Saturdays 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Rehearsal Location: Emmanuel United Church, 22 Bridgeport Rd W, Waterloo, ON N2L 2Y3
Rehearsals will take place on Saturdays on the following dates:
January 2025
Saturdays: 18, 25
February 2025
Saturdays: 1, 8, (off for Family Day Feb. 15), 22
March 2025
Saturdays: 1, (off for March Break Mar. 8), 15, 22, 29
April 2025
Saturdays: 5, 12, 19, 26
May 2025

PERFORMANCES
Show Week (Mandatory) Thursday, May 1 to Sunday, May 4
- Monday, April 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Run-through at the church with the Senior group.
- Thursday, May 1 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Dress Rehearsal at the Humanities Theatre
- Friday, May 2 School Performance at 10:30 a.m. (called for 9:00 a.m.) and Public Performance at 7:00 p.m. (called for 5:30 p.m.)
- Saturday, May 3 Public Performances at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (called for 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. so there is a break between the end of the matinee at 4:30 p.m. and the call time for the evening at 6:00 p.m.)
- Sunday, May 4 Public Performance at 2:00 p.m. (called for 12:30 p.m.)
TUITION
$475
- We continue to do the best we can to make our programs affordable for everyone. We will offer payment plans and partial scholarships where possible.
- Costumes will likely need to be purchased. A “look book” is provided, and performers must have costumes that conform to those guidelines. Please have a look at photos on this site to get a sense of costumes.
